Our Mission

To ensure equitable treatment and equal access to credit and capital for the under-served populations and communities throughout Delaware through advocacy, education, legislation, and outreach.

DCRAC--briefly

We were founded in 1987 because a study of Home Mortgage Disclosure Act data revealed that African Americans were more than seven times more likely to be denied home mortgages than white Americans. While we continue our role as CRA advocates (our mission focus), we have built a constituent base by remaining market centered. We have continued to launch new and creative initiatives designed to make DCRAC relevant in the lives of thousands of Delawareans. In 2007, we became the first Delaware nonprofit to be awarded the Seal of Excellence from the National Standards for Excellence Institute.
